If you or someone you live with are at risk, there are several things you can do to stop the virus entering your home.

Research shows that when the viruses are breathed out, particularly through coughing or sneezing, they can travel at least 2 metres/6 feet in the air

The viruses can then:

A person sneezing, projecting virus particles into the air

Be breathed in whilst in the air.

A hand that is covered in virus particles

Fall on to the surfaces around them, where they can be picked up by another person.

Alternatively, viruses are placed on surfaces when someone touches them with the virus on their hands.

On the next few pages are ideas to help you create a force field around you, a safe area that is free from viruses – plus ideas for how of how to set up your home to reduce the amount of virus in it.
